STATHAM – Owen Loggins Sr., 94, died Friday, April 10, 2009.
Born in Banks County, he was the son of the late Emory G. and Janie Reynolds Loggins. He was a member of the White Hall Baptist Church and was retired from Westinghouse. He was married 64 years to Mary Anne Loggins of Statham.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Henry and Nita Loggins, Winder; daughter, Helen Hunsinger, Bogart; three grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Reba Rooks, Winder, Anna Lou McCord, Abbeville, S.C., Estelle McHamaughon, Honea Path, S.C.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 13, at 2 p.m., at Smith Memory Chapel with the Revs. Buford Lockman, Tommy Ghann and Hoyt Skelton officiating. Burial will be in the Howington Cemetery in Nicholson. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 12, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
There will be a memorial service at the White Hall Baptist Church on Sunday, April 19, at 4 p.m.
