Angela Sheppard has resigned as Administrative Officer for Banks County government to take a job as assistant manager for the City of Gainesville.
Sheppard, who has worked for Banks County since 2005, wrote in her letter of resignation that she was leaving with “mixed emotions.” Her last day in Banks County will be Wednesday, April 22.
Commissioners Rickey Cain thanked Sheppard for her work for Banks County.
“You have meant a lot to us and done a lot for us,” he said.
Commissioner Joe Barefoot added: “We appreciate the dedicated service you have given Banks County and making all of our jobs easier. We appreciate that and wish you the best of luck.”
BOC chairman Milton Dalton said: “I’ve enjoyed working with you.”
