ALTO – Brenda Gail Vincent LaCount, 63, died Sunday, April 26, 2009, at her residence.
Born on August 2, 1945, in Demorest, she was the daughter of the late Tome Vinson and Beatrice Cantrell Vinson Erwin. She was of the Baptist denomination.
Survivors include daughters, Vanessa Duncan, Cornelia; Sheena Weaver, South Carolina, Emily Long, Toccoa; sisters, Linda Bateman, Hartwell, Elizabeth Shackelford, Toccoa, Darlene Colley, Mt. Airy; brothers, Roger “Russ” Vinson, Cornelia, Eddie Vinson, Alto; grandchildren, Curtis Long, Alto, David Barrett, Camp Jejeune, N.C., Kevin Weaver Jr. and Sabastian Weaver, both of South Carolina.
Funeral services will be will be held Wednesday, April 29, at 11 a.m., at Whitfield Funeral Home with the Rev. Truman Humphries officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, April 28, from 7 to 9 p.m.
