Although the unemployment rate flattened across much of Georgia in March, it continued to climb in Banks County. The unemployment rate in Banks County was 7.7 percent in March, up from 7.3 percent in February.
While climbing, the rate was still under the state unemployment figure of 9.2 percent and was among the lowest in Northeast Georgia.
However, it was still double last year’s rate in March when the rate was just 3.8 percent.
It does seem sad that if people like Mr. Parks and Ms Kimsey prevail regarding this rezoning issue that the Banks county unemployment status and list for people on food stamps in Banks County will continue to rise.
Ms. Kimsey should probably pay her deliquent property tax bill before complaining about a neighbor that is paying their property taxes.
Banks County has the lowest unemployment in North Ga and one of the lowest in the state, and people are complaining about how people are running businesses in Banks County. Well a sure fire way to keep business in the area is to run down the people keeping jobs here.
OMG!! What jobs are in Banks County JDUB??? Just where the crap are they? Hotel cleaners? Burger flippers? It don't take but just a few jobs lost in Banks County to run unemployment thru theroof!! And try to pay Banks property taxes on Wendy's pay!! You have no idea what is going on do you?
