Although the unemployment rate flattened across much of Georgia in March, it continued to climb in Banks County. The unemployment rate in Banks County was 7.7 percent in March, up from 7.3 percent in February.
While climbing, the rate was still under the state unemployment figure of 9.2 percent and was among the lowest in Northeast Georgia.
However, it was still double last year’s rate in March when the rate was just 3.8 percent.
