PALM COAST, FLA. – Sue Elizabeth Hodges Anderson, 95, formerly of Maysville, died Wednesday, May 6, 2009.
Born on February 1, 1914, in Chiefland, Fla., she was the daughter of the late James and Mahalee Sheppard Hodges. She was a homemaker and a member of the Grace Presbyterian Church in Palm Coast, Fla. Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Thomas Anderson.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Shirley Anderson Guthrie and Dr. Fred F. Guthrie Jr., Bishop; grandchildren, Fred Guthrie III, Bishop, Anne Sorrell, Flovilla, Ala., Ruth Guthrie, Watkinsville; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 9, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Dr. Fred F. Guthrie Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Sunrise Cemetery in Maysville. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 9, from 10 to 11 a.m., before the service, at the funeral home.
