CLEVELAND – Charles David Dover, 51, died Sunday, May 10, 2009, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville following a sudden illness.
Born on August 26, 1957, in Hall County, he was the son of Nellie Flanngan Dover of Gainesville and the late Arthur T. Dover. He was retired from Pilgrim’s Pride and was preceded in death by a stepson, Chad Eller.
Survivors in addition to his mother include sons, Nick and Brad Dover, both of Gainesville; sisters, Linda Rider, Cleveland, Barbara Barton, Gainesville, and Joyce Mitchell, Lula; brother, Robert Flanngan, Winder; grandson, Brian Dover; granddaughter, Chastity Dover; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 14, at 4 p.m., at Fairview Baptist Church with the Revs. Hoyt Skelton, Ralph Smith and Junior Jones officiating. Burial will be in Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home all day on Tuesday, May 12, and Wednesday, May 13.
