I feel this has gone too far! People need to realize this is his personal business. What if this was your situation and your job was at risk of closing, what would your reaction be then? You would lose everything same as most people would. If you are concerned about your children be ran over, then also you need to look at "all" the other vechiles and how they are being driven! People are driving everyday up and down the same road and I too have noticed that others are driving way too fast! Why is it alright for others on the same road be aloud to operate their personal business such as a "WRECKER SERVICE"? This seems very odd to me. If they are allowed to park their 18 wheelers, then what is the problem parking other 18 wheelers there? Why is this such a issue for them? Everything needed for "every day" living is delivered by 18 wheelers! Everyone needs to stop and think about this situation. "WHAT IF THIS WERE YOUR COMPANY and the only means of income"?

Is this (owner of trucking business) not a Mason ...OR Shriner,V.F.W,Is he an out cast from Banks County that has made his way home??Then what is the problem,,,,,,older people and children ,,,,,,are as likely to be hit by a car or small truck....someones argument does not hold water,,,,,I love reading about Banks county,,,,its better than watching Andy and Barney hashing things out ,,,,,and ranks a bit higher than watching Ellie May and Grandma and of course Jethro.....,I love it!!!!!

You're not watching the right people. Didn't you know Jed runs the county, Granny runs the Tax Office and Jethro is the county sheriff. Then there's Jethrene, Cousin Pearl, and bocifus all running other offices driving county vehicles to their childrens dentist appointments in Gainesville / Athens / Cornelia - No, I'm wrong, that's the county school board, but then if the shoe fits.

So much for Banks County's Entrepreneur Friendly status - or is it Banks County's Permit Buddy system that runs the business community in this dead community?

They advertise Banks Co as business friendly and want businesses here. Then why is the planning board trying to stop the income from this business and the people from working there. It seems odd that while the county is struggling to balance the budget and keep people from losing jobs that 2-3 locals are going to be responsible for raising our taxes, making people lose jobs and costing the county money. I guess they would rather have the people on unemployment and food stamps.
