A Maysville man faces child molestation charges after he was arrested at his home on Wednesday, Sept. 2, by Banks County Sheriff’s Office deputies.
Banks County Sheriff Charles Chapman said 64 year old Eldridge Lawrence Brothers Jr., 946 Jake Shubert Road, Maysville, was charged with two counts of aggravated child molestation, one count of child molestation, one count of cruelty to children, two counts of sodomy and one count of sexual battery.
Chapman reported the investigation began on Aug. 24 after deputies responded to the residence in response to a domestic dispute call. Brothers placed the call to 911 dispatch.
A juvenile, the step-grandson to Brothers, was a witness to the dispute, Chapman said.
While BCSO deputies were at the home investigating domestic dispute the juvenile disclosed that he had been molested by Brothers.
Chapman said during the investigation following the initial report Brothers admitted to BCSO investigators that he had had several inappropriate incidents with the juvenile.
Brothers is currently being held in the Banks County jail without bond.
The investigation continues by the BCSO criminal investigation division.
