More than six inches of rain has been reported in parts of Banks County during the last week. There have been few problems so far following days of heavy rain in Banks County and most of North Georgia.
The Banks County 911 center has only received one report of road problems due to the rain.
“We have only received one report of isolated water pooling in areas on one road - Sims Bridge Road,” EMA/E-911 director Deidra Moore said. “We have not had any mishaps or road problems thus far. The deputies are keeping a check on the roads and reporting as they come across any concern areas. The Banks County BOE bus shop is keeping in contact so that we can make them aware of any issues the buses may encounter.”
