The Banks County Board of Education approved several facility requests at its October 19 meeting.
They included the following:
•Banks County Literacy Council to utilize the primary school gym for magic show for families on November 12.
•Banks County Chamber of Commerce to utilize the old softball field at the elementary school for cow patty bingo on October 26.
Project requests approved include the following:
•Banks County High School Varsity and JV Wrestling Teams to sell of signs to be displayed on the inside of the Leopard’s Den Gym, November 1 – December 10.
•Banks County High School Varsity & JV Wrestling Teams to pre-sell bales of pine straw.
•Banks County High School Varsity & JV Wrestling Teams to work a haunted house and the team to receive 20 percent of the profit November 15 – December 8.
•Banks County Middle School Athletic Booster to sponsor sale of BBQ Tickets, spirit merchandise, concession, split/pot tickets at sports events and sponsor a school dance.
