With only five games left in the regular season, the Lady Leopards are looking to improve their 5-14 overall and 1-8 region record before the region tournament, while the boys look to draw together a 3-7 region and a 5-13 overall record.
This past week for Banks County ,the teams faced two sub-region rivals. The ladies lost first a heartbreaker region game to East Jackson and then a late game beating to Jefferson, while the Leopards showed a lot of effort in a 58-53 loss to the Eagles and hung close against Jefferson.
Last Friday’s game against Walnut Grove had to be postponed due to weather and is rescheduled for Feb. 11.
Following Friday night’s game at home, hosting North Oconee, Banks County will be on the road taking on Union County on Saturday.

The Leopards will look to exploit whatever weaknesses they find as Banks looks to repeat an earlier victory, 58-51.
Tip-off is at 6 p.m. for the girls with the boys’ game to follow.
Following Friday’s game and Senior Night, Banks County hits the road to travel to Union where the Leopards will face the Panthers.
The boys are winless in region play as Banks looks to keep it that way and come out on top. Earlier in the season, Union barely slipped by the Banks County boys 64-60. The Lady Leopards will also be looking for payback after an earlier 55-37 defeat to the Lady Panthers.
Saturday’s games start at 6 p.m.
