As part of the plans for the Banks County Community Wide Health and Fitness Celebration, Banks County E-911is hosting a coloring contest for Banks County Head Start/Pre-K through middle school children.
All children interested in competing should submit an 8 ½ x 11 drawing of a safety/healthy lifestyle related topic (such as how to call 9-1-1, doing exercises, fire safety, weather safety, healthy eating, police, etc.).
The drawing must include the child’s name, parent’s name, teacher’s name, child’s school grade, parent’s phone number and child’s T-shirt size. The drawings must be turned into the teachers no later than March 15 and the teachers will ensure that it is delivered to the Banks County Annex no later than March 18.
The drawings can be mailed to Banks County, c/o E-911, 150 Hudson Ridge, Homer, Ga., 30547, but drawings must arrive at the annex no later than March 18 for judging.
The Banks County Health Fair Committee will choose one winner from each of the grade levels. The top 10 finalists from each grade will have their drawing displayed at the fair and one grand prize winner from each grade will receive a T-shirt and have their picture made for the paper on the day of the celebration.
