Sheriff Charles Chapman said the victim stated the incident began in Suwanee, where he was beat, kidnapped and threatened by these men. The six offenders and the victim all worked for the same business, Chapman reported.
The victim stated he was brought from Suwanee to the Americas Best Inns motel at Banks Crossing. At the motel, he stated, he was not allowed out of the truck, was held down and was hit in the face with a firearm. He had a knife held to his throat, his legs twisted and the truck door shut on his legs, the victim stated.
“The victim stated he was finally dragged from the truck to the ground where he was kicked by the offenders on the head and body,” Chapman said.
The victim stated he lost consciousness and awoke in a hospital in Anderson, S.C.
Chapman said, “The victim stated the owner of the company accused him of stealing money.”
All six men were charged in Gwinnett County and Banks County officers picked them up in Gwinnett County. They were booked into the Banks County Jail on the charges against them.
“All six will have an appearance in superior court in the near future to see about a bond,” Chapman said.
The investigation continues by the Banks County Sheriff’s Office criminal investigation unit.
