The start of the 2010 tennis season has been favorable for the Lady Leopards.
Banks County’s girls added another feather to their win caps as the girls defeated East Jackson last Thursday 4-1.
The win over East Jackson comes on the back of the team’s opening win over Dawson County 5-0.
Weather permitting, the ladies will be back on the court Thursday to host North Oconee in a sub-region match at 4 p.m. Coach Lisa Thomas encourages spectators to come out to the matches to support the team.
“I am very proud of how all the girls have played so far and I am looking forward to the rest of the season,” said Thomas. “We hope to have supporters come out and watch the team.”
