Banks County voters will have plenty on their political plates in 2010 between county, state and national elections.
The primary election is set for Tuesday, July 20. If a run-off is necessary it will be held on Tuesday, August 10. The general election will be held on November 2, with a run-off, if necessary, set for November 30.
Qualifying for the July primary runs from April 26 at 9 a.m. to April 30 at noon. Persons elected will take office effective January 1, 2011.

Barefoot, Cain you should save your money. But then again, Barefoot is good for counting the toliet paper in the courthouse. Mr. Ramsey, what have you done for the tax payer? Mr. Garrison, I'd vote for you.

Remember, now more than ever, the primaries are our best chance to fire those politicians who have let us down with their arrogance and self-importance. Don't sit at home and let others (especially the party machines) decide who's on the ballot come November.
