Melinda Cochran was appointed to the Banks County Planning Commission in a unanimous vote at Tuesday’s Banks County Board of Commissioners meeting.
Cochran will serve out the remainder of the unexpired term of Clyde McArthur, who resigned several months ago. The term will expire on October 31, 2011.
The board table the appointment of Stan Stewart to fill the seat previously held by Keith Segars. Segars completed his term and has not been re-appointed.
Stewart currently serves on the Banks County Development Authority. The BOC wants to contact Stewart to see which board he wants to serve on – Development Authority or Planning Commission.
