Banks County voters can cast their ballots early for the August 10 runoff election.
Early voting will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily beginning Thursday, July 29, and continuing through Friday, August 6. Early voting will take place at the voter registration office in the Banks County Courthouse Annex, Hudson Ridge, Homer.
Voters who did not vote in the earlier election, may cast either a Democrat or Republican vote. Those who did vote in the earlier election, must vote the same party ballot.
On election day, Aug. 10, polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at all 13 of the polls in the county.
One local race will be on the ballot — the post 1 seat on the Banks County Board of Commissioners where incumbent Rickey Cain and former commissioner Danny Maxwell will face off.
In the earlier election, Cain had 975 votes, or 40 percent, while Maxwell had 865, or 35 percent. A third candidate, Sam Moon, had 621 votes, or 25 percent.

•secretary of state, Gail Buckner and Georganna Sinkfield.
