Hey Sheriff,funny you did'nt mention this was the location of Banks County's mexican horse racing venue where the music is loud and several hundred drunk mexicans show up to watch horse races, drink lots of alcohol, and bet large amounts of money!This place is awesome they have a professional starting gate,Photo finish cameras,live bands,Food,Bleachers,maybe a few drugs thrown in just for good measure. But remember it is all just family fun.Maybe next race we will have a shooting or a stabbing to really get the family fun factor up there!

A simple license check nearby the horse arena would result in at least 50 DUI's each Sunday afternoon, yet they haven't had a license check in that area on a Sunday in ages. It seems the BC sheriff's dept is turning their cheek for some reason! I am waiting on a drunk hispanic to hit some family head on after leaving on a Sunday afternoon. The majority are drunk. Everyone knows this!!

the deputies all congregate at different restaurants all over banks crossing one sleeps every night in front of la fiesta one is so fat he wears suspenders to hold up his gun belt

Just so you know...they wear suspenders to help take the pressure of the weight of the belt off of their hips. Don't be stupid..know your facts.

I think people just need to stop running their mouths. I think the Sheriff does a great job. If he didn't, he would not have been re-elected twice, so get a life and stop talking about people.

It is on Hwy 63. At the intersection of Hwy 63 and Hwy 184. It has been there for several years.

Yep you are correct ,,,,you can hear the noise for miles around.Glad to learn about all the details .Is this event open to the public?? May I place a bet there?............GA. IS AWESOME......once you get past the quirks,,the people,, the law,,and yes their red neck ways.

I wonder why this horse race does not have to meet any county criteria or obtain any county permits!! All citizens must have a permit to install a septic tank, a permit to build, a permit to move a mobile home, etc. There are hundreds of people at this gathering, playing loud music, and if the truth be known (who knows what else) without having to obtain any permit, comply with any county regulations, etc. This gathering is not a one time occasion - it happens every weekend and on holidays! Banks County citizens - there is something wrong with this picture!!!

I'M SO GLAD EVERYONE LIKE TO PUT THERE INPUT . BUT DON'T LIKE TO STAND UP TO WHO THEY ARE BUT THEY HIDE WHO THEY REALLY ARE. IT'S PROBALLY SOMONE WHO LIKES TO RUN THERE MOUTH AND TALK ABOUT OTHERS INSTEAD OF THERE OWN FAMILY BUSINESS . MAYBE YOU SHOULD TRY TO RUN FOR SHERIFF OR SOME TYPE OF OFFICE , OR MAYBE YOU ARE THE ONES WHO CAN'T EVEN VOTE. BUT YOU SURE DON'T KNOW THE SHERIFF OR HOW LONG HE'S BEEN IN OFFICE. BUT YOU ARE WRONG. THIS IS PROBALLY SOMEBODY WHO HAS BEEN LOCKED UP AND JUST HELD THAT OVER THE SHERIFFS OFFICE CAUSE HE DONE WRONG BY MAKING YOU OR THE FAMILY MEMBER MAD CAUSE THEY WENT TO JAIL . GET A LIFE !!! GO FIND YOU SOMETHING ELSE TO DO BESIDE HIDE WHO YOU REALLY ARE CAUSE YOU ARE SCARED TO PUT YOUR NAME. :)

I wish everyone would learn how to use spell check!! A little correct grammar would be nice too. If you're not sure, use Microsoft Office and copy and paste.
