A one-vehicle accident Friday night claimed the life of a 55-year-old Homer man. John Thomas Wood, 55, 176 Gallow Road, was killed when his 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 Truck overturned on Payne Road.
According to the accident report Wood was negotiating a curve when he ran off the roadway onto the shoulder and lost control. The truck overturned several times, the top struck a tree and the truck came to a final rest on its tires in a creek.
The accident was investigated by the Georgia State Patrol.
