BCSO arrest two on drug charges

The the Banks County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people after pills were purchased at a pre-set location in Banks County, according to Sheriff Charles Chapman.

James Randolph Smith, 72, 1222 Grove Level Road, Maysville, and Jenny Vivian Haley, 40, 1929 Blacks Creek Church Road, Danielsville, were both arrested and charged with the distribution of a controlled substance.

Agents also seized $1,232 in U.S. currency and a 1992 Honda Accord vehicle.

Chapman said, “Smith already has a case pending in Superior Court for sale of a controlled substance when arrested this second time.”

Both Smith and Haley were booked into the Banks County Jail on the above charge and the investigation continues, Chapman reported.
