The Georgia Department of Human Resources Environmental Health Division of the Banks County Health Department released the following restaurant inspections recently:
•Outback Steakhouse, Pottery Factory Drive, Commerce; 96-A; inspected on Oct. 20; clean knives, utensils and pans better.
•Ryan’s, Steven B. Tanger Boulevard, Commerce; 90-A; inspected on Oct. 20; clean utensils, pans and knives better and all to air dry before stacking, store and serve foods at correct temperatures and keep handwash sign posted in restrooms.
•The Leopard Drive-In, Historic Homer Highway, Homer; 95-A; inspected on Oct. 12; serve foods at correct temperatures, keep shortening block/box covered to prevent contamination, clean grease strainer, shortening pan on grill and tops of containers, clean floors and finish cleaning restroom for patrons.
•Banks County High School, Historic Homer Highway, Homer; 100-A; inspected on Oct. 20.
•Banks County Middle School, Thompson Street, Homer; 100-A; inspected on Oct. 20.
•Banks County Elementary School, Highway 51 South, Homer; 100-A; inspected on Oct. 6.
•Banks County Head Start (Ninth District Opportunity), Evans Street, Homer; 99-A; inspected on Oct. 26; clean floor and/or repair leak in walk-in cooler and clean fan guards more frequently in walk-in cooler.
•Chick-Fil-A, Highway 441, Commerce; 99-A; inspected on Oct. 26; clean caulk behind three-compartment sink, keep drinks segregated from utensils – use designated area, and use only a drink with lid and straw in food preparation area.
•Cracker Barrel, Eisenhower Drive, Commerce; 96-A; inspected on Oct. 12; store and serve foods at correct temperatures, clean utensils such that debris does not spread – cover if necessary and clean slicer every four hours.
•Habersham Retreat, Park Avenue, Baldwin; 98-A; inspected on Oct. 26; separate freezer from sleeping quarters and patch floor where it is peeling.
