Donations needed for holiday meals for seniors

Checks should be made payable to the Banks County Senior Center and can be dropped off at the facility at 700 Thompson Street or mailed to the following address: P.O. Box 187, Homer, Ga., 30347-0187.

The meals will be delivered with a gift certificate through New Year’s Day.

“Funding is essential as we have suffered budget cuts in state and federal meal programs, yet the demand for meals is steadily increasing,” said Tabor McCoy, senior center director. “Please assist in preserving this vital program.”
