The Banks County Sheriff’s Office responded to a number of incidents reported during the past week. They include:
•welfare check at a Dodd Road, Commerce, residence. The responding deputy reported that he spoke with the homeowner and everything appeared to be fine at this location.
•suspicious person at a Highway 323, Maysville, residence.
•recovered stolen items at an Antioch Road, Lula, location.
•suspicious person at Subway/Wal-Mart, Highway 441 South, Commerce.
•threats and simple assault at a Water Plant Road residence. The complainant advised she was threatened at this location.
•assist fire department at a Highway 323, Maysville, residence. The fire department reported they had a fire alarm at this residence and no one would come to the door. The fire department decided everything appeared to be O.K. and they would not need to enter the residence.
•animal problem at a Sycamore Street, Homer, residence. The responding officer reported that he found a dog out in the rain tied to a tree at this location. The officer advised he did not located the owner, but he got the dog out of the rain.
•assist motorist on Highway 51 South at Brewer Road. The complainant advised the responding deputy that his vehicle was torn up and he had contacted a wrecker service to tow the vehicle.
•tree in the roadway on Harden Bridge Road at Dodd Road, Commerce. The responding officer advised he stood by while the Banks County Road Department cleared the tree out of the roadway.
•damage to property at the T/A Truck Stop, Highway 441, Commerce.
•damage to property at a Highway 441, Commerce, location.
•threats by phone at a Moss Mill Drive, Baldwin, residence.
•dispute at a Highway 441 South, Commerce, residence.
•civil dispute at a Hill Drive, Baldwin, residence.
•suspicious vehicle at a Highway 164, Commerce, residence.
•entering an auto at a Highway 164, Commerce, residence.
•civil dispute at a Highway 51 North, Homer, residence. The responding deputy advised a male and a female at this location got into an argument about the female having an affair.
•simple battery – family violence act (FVA) at a Trout Lane, Commerce, residence.
•lost or stolen items on Mount Sinai Road at Mount Sinai Church.
•counterfeit money at the Waffle House, Highway 441, Commerce.
•civil dispute at a Highway 441, Commerce, location.
•civil dispute at a Christmas Tree Road residence.
•threats at a Wynn Lake Road residence.
•overdue person at a Harmony Church Road residence.
•juvenile problem at a Yonah-Homer Road residence.
•911 hang-up at a Garrison Road, Lula, residence. The complainant advised the responding office that a male who worked with her husband pulled up behind her car when she came in from work. The complainant advised the male was mad about something at work. The complainant stated she asked the male to leave and he got in his car and left.
