The second series of Banks County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) classes will be offered on Thursday, January 27, from 7-10 p.m. These classes will be offered every Thursday night for nine weeks until graduation.
“We encourage the citizens interested in learning how to be better prepared for disaster to call 706-677-3163 or visit our website at bankscert.org for information on how to register for the free classes,” states EMA/911 director Deidra Moore. “You may also take these classes to become a volunteer member of Banks County EMA. We are always looking for volunteers to help with mobile support which is a division that supports large incident scenes.
