The Banks County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following incidents reported during the past week:
•animal complaint at a Hebron Court residence. The complainant reported to the responding deputy that his neighbor has two aggressive dogs. The complainant advised the dogs come onto his property and try to attack his family. The complainant reported he had contacted Keith Covington, county marshal, several times about this and had not gotten a response.
•suspicious person at The Home Depot, Steven B. Tanger Boulevard, Commerce. The complainant reported to the responding officer that a male and a female came up wanting a ride and they appeared suspicious. The complainant reported he got them a ride and everything was O.K.
•road hazard on Highway 51 South at Brewer Road. The responding deputy reported he found a low hanging tree that was resting on a phone line. Dispatch was advised and they were going to advise Windstream of the situation.
•911 hang-up at the Banks County Courthouse Annex, Hudson Ridge, Homer. The responding officer reported that there wasn’t an emergency and all was O.K.
•threats at an Ostrich Drive, Lula, residence.
•suspicious activity at a Carson Segars Road, Maysville, residence.
•disorderly conduct and cruelty to children at a Leachman Road, Commerce, residence.
•deceased person at a Windy Knolls, Baldwin, residence.
•residence check at an Old Highway 441, Alto, residence.
•livestock in the roadway on Yonah-Homer Road. The responding deputy reported he didn’t find any cows in the roadway.
•damage/destroy/secreting property to defraud another at a Ferguson Road, Baldwin, residence.
•dog complaint at an Indian Valley Trails, Maysville, residence.
•panhandling at the entrance to Sonny’s Bar-Be-Que, Highway 441, Commerce.
•fraud at Pain Management, Pottery Factory Drive, Commerce.
•entering an auto at a Sims Bridge Road, Commerce, residence.
•damage to a vehicle at Wal-Mart, Highway 441 South, Commerce. The complainant reported while his 1995 Lincoln Town Car was parked at Wal-Mart and unknown vehicle caused damage to the car’s grill and driver’s side
