Scott Ledford was elected as chairman of the Banks County Development Authority on Wednesday, March 23.
Bill Griffin was selected to serve as vice chairman and Jonathan Bennett was chosen as treasurer.
Chairman Jack Banks told the authority that he did not plan to serve another term. Banks’ term expires in February of 2012.

All of them need to be thrown out
Now, I want to understand clearly.
1. Banks school board and Commissioners wants to spend like Gwinnett, but does not have the infrastructure and jobs to support such spending, and which one of these so called leaders care?
2.One of the bumkins (you really need to get out more) thinks the CLOSED Pottery is one of Banks accomplishments.
3. The Banks County decision makers (you know who you are) for the new road to Tanger can't even decide what/where/how to do it without consulting with JACKSON COUNTY!
3.A. A road that would take a couple of months to complete in other counties will take Banks how many years? After Thompson St, I bet 2.
4. Banks hires a development director at how much salary? Fill's the chairman of the development board with a position, how much salary? And my guess is they sit in their office all day playing computer internet games, chatting about their kid's ball game, or running errands from insane pending boredom (just how much development is going on in Banks?).
5. And the only new growth in years is a QT gasoline station!
6. And these leaders are running our county! Does anyone other than me see the moronic idiocy in this?
