The fire that damaged Commerce Pain Management on Saturday morning has been ruled electrical, Banks County Fire Captain Richard Crowder, said on Monday.
Crowder said the investigation wrapped up around noon Monday at the business located at 413 Pottery Factory Drive.
Crowder said the Banks County Fire Department was paged out to the fire at 10:38 a.m. after bystanders discovered flames coming from the rear of the building.
An exterior wall was moderately damaged and minor damage was reported to the inside of the building.
“Very little water was used so the building received minor smoke and water damage,” Crowder said.
The building is located in the Commerce Crossing Shopping Center in front of The Pottery building.
Crowder said the Urgent Care Center located adjacent to Commerce Pain Management was also evacuated.
“The fire was reported early and crews did a good job making an aggressive attack and both helped keep the damage down,” Crowder said.
