The Banks County Board of Commissioner will vote at its Oct. 9 meeting on whether or not to close Pace Road to through traffic.
The BOC held a public hearing on the issue last Tuesday where concerned citizens were able to for or against the proposal.
Pace Road, which runs between Hawkins Road and Caudell Road, is currently used by county employees to service a county water tank.
Paul Murphy, who owns part of the property that Pace Road crosses, urged the BOC to close the road for several reasons.

Sounds to me like nobody wants to get out of their vehicle and open or close a gate
