A baby born in WalMart in Banks County on Wednesday morning has made the news across the state. The baby boy was the first baby born in Georgia in 2013.
The mother reportedly went into labor three weeks early. Banks County EMS personnel responded to the call and found the mother and baby in the bathroom.
“All we had do to was cut the umbilical cord,” EMT Scotty Mathis told a reporter for Fox 5 TV in Atlanta.
Both the mother and baby were taken to an Athens hospital and are reportedly doing well.

Good grief - I've been in those bathrooms at Walmart! The place is not clean enough for a dog to have its puppies! Thank the Lord mother and baby are doing well!!!

I guess this got on Fox Atlanta channel so they could show Banks County folks as a bunch of backwoods rednecks. This was not really news.
