The “Battle of the Brave Charity Bowl,” the annual flag football face-off between Banks County Sheriff’s Office and Banks County Fire and EMS, will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11, at the Banks County High School Leopard Stadium.
Both teams will donate their time to raise funds for the “Food 2 Kids Program,” which is organized through the Banks County Rotary Club. The program aids Banks County children who do not having enough to eat. These children are identified by school teachers, counselors and officials within the community.
Captain Darrell Crane of the Banks County Sheriff’s Office and Captain Bo Purvis of Banks County Fire & EMS are coordinating the event.
“This is a great opportunity for both departments to come together and support our community,” stated Crane. “The kids of this community are important to us. We hope to see the citizens join us by attending and cheering on their favorite team.”
Concessions will be available during the game. Admission is free to the public with donations being taken.
