The Banks County Department of Family & Children Services Board received a bit of good news last week.
For over 15 years, Brad Day, Banks County Economic Developer, reported there had been talk about a new DFCS building in Banks County.
The Banks County Development Authority has offered the State of Georgia two acres of development authority land, on Windmill Farm Road, near the Banks County Sheriff’s Office, for the building. The Banks County Board of Commissioners recommended the proposed site.
Day stated the proposed building project would not come at the expense of Banks County taxpayers.
“This will be at no cost to Banks County taxpayers,” Day said.
