Homer city officials met Tuesday, June 24, to finalize the FY2015 budget.
Earlier this month, the city council reviewed the proposed budget and approved pay increases for all city employees. In order to set a balanced budget, use of $20,000 from reserves was recommended.
The council also allocated funds for the municipal court, building inspections and capital outlay expenses.
The total budget reflects expenses in general government of $202,000, streets department of $94,380, sanitation department expenses totaling $44,000, fire department expenses of $52,050 and municipal court, building inspector and capital outlay expenses of $9,470 for a total general fund budget of $401,900.
A public hearing will be scheduled prior to the July regular meeting to receive citizen input.
