Banks County courts relocated

All court offices located in the Banks County courthouse have been moved to a new location while the facility is renovated.
All of the Banks County court offices, including Superior Court, clerk of court, Magistrate Court, Probate Court and the District Attorney's office, have relocated their offices to the old county elementary school, located at 335 Evans Street, Homer.



This is the first step in the move for the court offices. Once the current courthouse location has been remodeled, the offices will move back into the courthouse on Yonah-Homer Road.

All the county administrative offices located at the courthouse, including the Board of Commissioner, Planning and Zoning, Building Inspections, Public Utilities, Tax Assessor, Tax Commissioner and Voter Registration, will be relocating to the new Banks County Courthouse Annex building at 150 Hudson Ridge beginning Tuesday, Aug. 26.

All the administrative offices will be closed on Friday, Aug. 22, and Monday, Aug. 25. Offices will resume normal operations on Tuesday, Aug. 26, at the new location.

Directions to the new location from Thompson Street are: turn onto Hudson Valley Drive (formerly Eagles Nest) and then turn right onto Hudson Ridge.

The new courthouse annex is not yet open to the public.
