An Otis Brown Road, Baldwin, resident contacted the Banks County Sheriff’s Office last week concerning a physical dispute he had with another man over ownership of a tire and a wheel.
Men fight over possession of tire, wheel
The man said he wanted to sell the tire and wheel to two men when another man of a Historic Homer Highway, Alto, address punched him in the face.
The two men who were there to make the purchase stepped in and stopped the altercation. No arrests were made.
The BCSO also responded to the following incidents during the past week:
•suspicious person on side of roadway on Hwy. 323, Maysville.
•suspicious activity at a Wilkinson Road, Baldwin, residence.
•dispute at Applebee’s.
•911 hang-up at a Hill Street, Homer, residence which turned out to be an accidental call.
•reckless driving on Lake Forest Drive, Commerce.
•911 hang-up at a Webbs Creek Road, Homer, residence which turned out to be children playing on the phone.

I agree, people who have recently moved into Banks County have a field day just purchasing the newspaper and seeing how many calls are made by deputies on certain roads and streets. Banks County is quickly becoming a laughingstock in surrounding counties. No wonder people have the impression that all Banks County residents are hoodlums and not recognized as law abiding citizens. I should think that the arrest report would be enough without documenting details of every incident.
