A Sims Bridge Road resident contacted the Banks County Sheriff’s Department last week following an incident with his next door neighbor who was intoxicated.
The man said his neighbor came to his residence wanting his back popped. The man told his neighbor no but his 15-year-old daughter did help out by stepping on her neighbor’s back and popping it.
The intoxicated neighbor then told the juvenile female that he “loved her” and asked her “when we going to get married?”
The man was sent back home and told never to return again.

Had the spinning and laying rubber stopped? When the deputy rode by? Did they see it and refused to stop are was it just the kids in the pasture that they saw?
Black marks and tire tracks decorate the road that I live on, and the people that place them there are very clever and hard to catch. But the deputy sheriff cannot arrest someone on the bases of black marks. They would have to be in the act. If you were so concerned about the safety of these teenagers would it have not been better to ask to spoke with the sheriff at Johns and ask him to have spoken with the kids about the dangers of making bad decisions that cannot be took back. I think these teenagers would have been more receptive to hearing what needed to be said if it had been approached with some love sympathy and understanding., remember they had just lost one of their own. Anything you thought you accomplished by confronting these friends and loved ones of Tyler went out the window when you acting like the judge and jury. I'm not saying you did'nt have a right to make a complaint to the sheriff but you should not have tried to control the issue yourself you just made it worse and I don't really think any of them would value your opinion now. Tylers death was not in vain and I know he will be truly missed and I'm sure that his death will save another teenagers life. Because even though you don't want to believe it there is some that will remember Tyler and be little more careful with their decisions. I have a granddaughter that is in Banks County School, I know that I can tell this has had a profound effect on her and she realizes that we can makes foolish decision that cost us more that we could ever realize. You cannot force this kind of insight on to any teenager by approaching them with a holier than thou attitude.
The above article is just another part of the saga between these two neighbors. Trust me.
