A Banks County man has been arrested for pointing a gun at another man.
Sheriff Charles Chapman said Wayne Holcomb, 54, Samples-Scales Road, Homer, was being held in the Banks County jail Monday on charges of pointing a gun at another person and false imprisonment.
Chapman said deputies responded to a residence Sunday evening on Samples-Scales Road to a call where one male was holding another male at gunpoint.
Once the deputies were on the scene and began to investigate, they found that one of the males was walking on Samples-Scales Road after he had spoken to a woman asking her if he was walking in the right director to Highway 441. He didn’t leave the road or go onto her property, according to reports.
The male victim stated he continued to walk towards Hwy. 441 when he was approached by Holcomb driving a pickup truck. Holcomb then pulled a handgun on the victim and made him get in the truck. Holcomb returned to his house and held the victim at gunpoint until the deputies arrived.
Holcomb was then charged with pointing a gun at another and false imprisonment because he, without authority, forced the victim from a public roadway and held him without authority, Chapman said.
On Monday, Holcomb was being held at the jail awaiting a bond hearing.
