Two Hall County brothers have been arrested in connection with a rash of burglaries in Banks County.
Banks County Sheriff Charles Chapman said Tuesday that arrest warrants were issued for two men in connection with five burglaries in Banks County on Wednesday, Dec. 3.
The two men charged are identified as Bradley Steven Emory, 22, and James Robert Emory, 25, both of 150 Clarks Bridge Road, Gainesville.
The men both face five felony charges in Banks County, Chapman said on Tuesday, and they are facing numerous burglary charges in other counties.
Chapman said that his office was called out to four residential burglaries on Wednesday, Dec. 3, within a three-hour period. Two of the burglaries were on Garrison Road off Highway 51 South, while the others
were on Apple Pie Ridge Road, Alto.
In the Garrison Road burglaries, the doors of the residences were kicked open. However, only one of the houses had anything taken and it was a camera and some jewelry, Chapman said.
One of the houses on Apple Pie Ridge Road had some items taken.
Chapman said his officers were also called to another residence on Dooley Drive, Alto, for the report of another burglary on Wednesday.
“During this day, from some of these residences in the north end of the county we had a TV, several guns, jewelry and other items taken,” Chapman said.
Banks County deputies worked late on Monday retrieving items taken, Chapman said. Televisions, several guns, cameras, video equipment and money were recovered, Chapman said.
“It appears that these brothers may be responsible for burglaries in nine different counties,” Chapman said on Monday.
The investigation is continuing.
