A Gainesville man was arrested on Thursday and charged with sexual battery in Banks County.
Jason Kyle Chester, 36, 2955 Skylark Place, was arrested following an investigation by the Banks County Sheriff’s Office investigators.
Banks County Sheriff Charles Chapman said the arrest stemmed from an investigation after a female told investigators that Chester lured her into the back of the United Parcel Service truck he was driving.
According to the female, Chester approached her in the parking lot of a convenience store in the north end of Banks County. She stated that Chester asked her about an address of a delivery which he had to make in her neighborhood.
The woman told investigators that she asked Chester to bring the package out of the truck and he said he could not leave the truck with the package.
The woman said once she stepped in the truck, he grabbed her and picked her up and she was dealt with inappropriately, Chapman said.
There was a witness in the parking lot and the store has videos confirming that the truck was in the parking lot at the time.
Chapman said Chester had just previously, within the past few days, been charged by the Cornelia Police Department on the same charges against two victims.
Chester was booked into the Banks County jail where he was later released on bond with the condition that he is to have no contact with the victim.
Chapman said that Banks County investigators continue to investigate this incident.
