Cash taken in Baldwin armed robbery

Baldwin Police Chief Daren Osborn said on Tuesday that authorities know very little about the armed robber who robbed a clerk at the BP Foods on Highway 365 Saturday night.


Osborn said, after viewing the video tape, authorities believe the suspect headed south into Hall County after the robbery.

“The male suspect is about 5-foot-9, 170 pounds, medium build, wearing blue jeans, gray fleece jacket with the hood pulled up over his head and white sneakers,” Osborn said.

The suspect was carrying what appeared to be a small caliber, semi-automatic pistol, Osborn added.
An undetermined amount of cash was taken in the robbery. The store is located near Hayes Chevrolet.
