Two teens arrested in Banks County theft

Two teens have been arrested in connection with a Banks County firearms theft that occurred at residence on Grovel Level Road on Feb. 26.


Gary Caleb Mealor, 19, Gainesville, was arrested on Friday, March 6, by agents with the Gang Task Force, the Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad and the Gainesville Police Department Uniformed Patrol Division.

At the time of the arrest on Thompson Bridge Road in Gainesville, Mealor was in allegedly in possession of four firearms, three shotguns and one rifle which were stolen in the Banks County burglary.

Matthew Clinton Daniel, 17, 529 Wayne Poultry Road, Pendergrass, has also been arrested in connection with this burglary.

Both Mealor and Daniel have been booked into the Hall County Jail.

Banks County Sheriff’s Office investigators continue to investigate the burglary.
