NICHOLSON – James Fred “Jeff” Keasler, 76, died Thursday, March 12, 2009.
Born in Alabama, he was a son of the late, Fred and Maggie Keasler. He was a retired mechanic, an Army Veteran of the Korean War, and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Jefferson.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Mann Keasler, Nicholson; step-children, Michael Dollar, Lixton, Ind., Virginia Dollar, Asheville, N.C., and Daniel Dollar, Marietta; grandson, Christopher Dollar; great-grandson, Caleb Dollar.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 14, from the First United Methodist Church of Jefferson with the Rev. Carey Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Evans Memorial Gardens, Jefferson.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1684 Barnett Shoals Road, Athens, Ga. 30605.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson.
Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements.
