The Banks County golfers have an opportunity this weekend to gain a lot of experience.
The Leopard golfers are scheduled to compete in the Madison County Invitational on Saturday at Double Oaks in Commerce. With the weather threatening to rain out the tournament, the Leopards are hopeful that they will get to compete.
Coach Kasey Hanley said that he is excited about the tournament and the experience it will provide the golfers.
Earlier in the week, Banks was in a rematch against Franklin County on Monday. Franklin defeated the Leopards in the team’s opener at the beginning of the month. Results from Monday’s round were unavailable at press time.
Scheduled for today (Wednesday) Banks was hosting Jefferson at Hammer’s Glen. Due to the weather the match was canceled, but no word on when it might be made up.
“Jefferson has been consistently scoring well this year, so we have a big task ahead of us,” said Hanley.
