Search warrant leads to two drug arrests

Banks County Sheriff Charles Chapman said on Monday that deputies executed a search warrant on Thursday afternoon, March 26, at a residence at 145 Loggins Road Commerce and two people were arrested on drug charges.



“This is the second search warrant executed at this location in the past three weeks,” Chapman said.
During the execution of the search warrant on Thursday, approximately one-fourth of an ounce of marijuana was seized.

Those arrested and their charges are: Ashley Nicole Guest, 22, 145 Loggins Road, Commerce, possession of marijuana and illegal possession of a controlled substance (methadone), and James William Carroll, 67, 174 Lake Forrest Drive, Commerce, possession of marijuana.

Chapman said Guest was out on bond from previous charges two weeks ago of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana.

The investigation continues by the Banks County Sheriff’s Office.
