Pigeon Forge is my home away from home. I grew up going to the Great Smokey Mountains. It is interesting to see all of the changes that have taken place over the years. While many things have changed, some have stayed the same.
One thing that has been around since I was a child is the Flyaway Indoor Skydiving. I never was adventurous or brave enough to do indoor skydiving. Who knew having kids would make me both!
Jake, my ten year old son, was really excited about this, so Jacob and I went indoor skydiving with him. I was a little nervous about it but I did it for Jake. I ended up loving it and planning a return visit.
After a 15-minute class which goes over safety, hand signals, and possible dangers, we suited up. Jumpsuit, helmet, goggles all in place and we were ready to go. Once inside the tunnel, we practiced the proper way to fall. After a few practice falls, we were ready read for flight.
