Gosnell appointed to Baldwin water plant position

Following a 30-minute closed session at Monday night’s Baldwin City Council meeting, Mayor Jerry Neace announced the appointment of Nancy Gosnell as water plant supervisor.

Gosnell has been serving as the interim water plant supervisor since the resignation of Don Boaen.

City administrator Jerry Presley advised he will begin advertising immediately for a replacement for Gosnell’s position as a water plant operator.

The Georgia Department of Transportation has more than $3 million in road improvement projects planned in Banks County over the next four years with a bike path, bridge repair and streetscape improvements among the plans.

The DOT held a meeting in Jefferson last week to present the State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP), which is a four-year plan detailing federally-funded projects. The plan presented is for 2011-2014. [Full Story »]
