The Banks County Sheriff’s Office responded to a theft by taking report at an Edwards Road, Commerce, residence on Thursday. A neighbor to this residence reported seeing someone take a 10-week-old Boxer Bulldog puppy from this location.

Baldwin Police Officer Michael Kay, 51, Cornelia, died Thursday at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. Kay was diagnosed with cancer in May of this year.

Mike and Cathy Rhodes probably wish they'd never heard of the Super Chevy Show. Their attempt to attend the June 6 event at the Atlanta Dragway ended in disaster when someone stole their truck, trailer and $100,000 show car from the parking lot of the Holiday Inn Express at Banks Crossing.
