BCHS JV Summer Baseball under way

The Banks County High School Lady Leopards golf team placed second in the sectionals and is preparing for the state championships on May 20 at Chateau Elan. The Banks County 4-H Senior Compound team won the state championship with a score of 1942 at the 4-H State Archery Tournament held this past weekend in Eatonton. The Banks County High School Leopard track team competed in the state sectionals at Bulloch High School on April 27.
Makayla Hewell placed third in 3200 girls meter run with a school record time of 12:07.56. Makayla will be participating in the AAA state final track meet in Albany Georgia on May 9.

Jaylyn Lack participated in the girls 400 meter dash, Greg Cannon in the boys 400 meter dash, and the 4x400 meter boys relay team consisted of five seniors, Tyler Hubbard, Francisco Hurtado, Greg Cannon, Eli Smallwood, and alternate Ryan Seabolt.

Eight qualify for state at regional track meet

The Banks County High School Leopards track team qualified eight athletes to the state sectional meet this week in a couple of long track and field days in Dawsonville for Banks County. The Banks County High School Leopards returned home after a disappointing 11-1 rout in Dawsonville against the Tigers only to face them once again for the rematch.
