The start of the 2010 tennis season has been favorable for the Lady Leopards. Banks County’s girls added another feather to their win caps as the girls defeated East Jackson last Thursday 4-1. It was a split week for the Banks County diamond Leopards as the baseball team avenged an earlier loss over Elbert, but fell behind to West Hall. Banks County’s tennis season began Monday as the Leopards hosted Dawson County. The boys played a pro-eight scoring and won over Dawson 3-2. Trey Martin as the number one singles won 8-5. It was a cold start for the Banks County Leopards last week as the baseball team went 3-1 in the first four games of the season. Banks County’s boys soccer team faced a defeat on the road last week. The Leopards were at Riverside, where the Eagles took a 3-0 win over Banks in the boy’s only game. Banks County’s Mat Leopards were hoping for a better finish at the state tournament last week.
