After being postponed due to weather, the state golf tournament managed to hold a full round on Monday. The Banks County lady netters played into the sweet 16 of the state playoffs. Last Wednesday, the Lady Leopards faced Heard County in the first round of the state playoffs where the netters took a 4-1 victory and secured a spot inside the sweet 16. Banks County’s girls’ track team had a bit of rescheduling this week as the 8-AA girls region meet was pushed back to Monday due to Saturday’s wet weather. The 8-AA region meet, which was hosted by East Jackson, opened on Monday with the completion of the field events. The final round of the running events are scheduled for Wednesday. ...
