Banks County’s tennis season began Monday as the Leopards hosted Dawson County. The boys played a pro-eight scoring and won over Dawson 3-2. Trey Martin as the number one singles won 8-5. It was a cold start for the Banks County Leopards last week as the baseball team went 3-1 in the first four games of the season. Banks County’s boys soccer team faced a defeat on the road last week. The Leopards were at Riverside, where the Eagles took a 3-0 win over Banks in the boy’s only game. The start of the Banks County golf season was set for Tuesday, as the boys’ and girls’ golfers were to face Habersham until snow postponed the match. Banks County girls’ basketball season ended in the first round of the region tournament last week as the Lady Leopards fell to the north number one Rabun County.
