Early voting is under way for the Dec. 1 runoff race for two seats on the Banks County Board of Commission. Early voting will be held through Wednesday, Nov. 25. Voters may cast a ballot from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the registrar’s office in the county annex. [Full Story »]

No doubt the debate on George Bush’s presidency will go on for generations.

There are extremes on both sides of the argument. Many believe he was the greatest thing since sliced bread and would have quickly ushered him in for a third term if given the opportunity.

Banks Countians will go to the polls Tuesday to cast their choice for president, as well as decide on state races and local issues. With one month of early voting held for the first time ever, a record number of voters — almost 2,000 — have already cast a ballot.
